Pulmonary Hypertension

Pulmonary Hypertension means that the blood pressure in the pulmonary artery is too high.  This is a problem for anyone, and particularly if you are requiring a Liver Transplant.  For further information it is worth checking the PH Central website, whose mission statement is "To be the definitive internet resource for PH-related information For Patients, Caregivers, and Medical Professionals."  One treatment that has been successful with one liver transplant recipient in New Zealand has been the use of the vasodilator "iloprost".  Here are some article references that may be of interest.
